Who this guide is for
Individual learners, families coordinating subjects and managers arranging employee learning.
Begin with each person’s task
An individual focuses on personal goals and timing. A family coordinates members and subjects within a shared budget. An organisation also needs membership, allocation and process information. In every case, establish what each person needs before choosing products. A shared wallet does not require everyone to follow the same course.
Manage unexchanged points separately from courses
The existing iMentoris product rules allow unexchanged points to be reclaimed and reallocated according to permissions. A completed exchange for a course product is irreversible. When membership changes, distinguish unallocated points, allocated but unexchanged points and exchanged products before deciding what can be done.
Make administrator visibility explicit
Organisation administrators may view allocation, product exchanges, attendance and progress. Private teacher ratings, detailed ability changes and lesson recordings are not exposed to the employer. Confirm family permissions against the account proposal too. Write down membership changes, access boundaries and product validity rather than assuming a shared account removes them.
Try a concrete task
When one family member studies Japanese and another English, identify separate goals and products before allocating a budget. When an employee leaves, establish what remains unexchanged before applying account permissions. Removing a member, cancelling a lesson and reclaiming points are different actions.
Before choosing a course
- List each member’s goals, subject and likely schedule.
- Distinguish unexchanged points from exchanged course products.
- Confirm administrator access and membership-change procedures in writing.
Common questions
Must family members study the same subject?
The platform wallet connects multiple subjects. The available products and exchange rules for each member still require confirmation.
Can an employer see lesson recordings?
The existing product rules do not expose recordings, private teacher ratings or detailed ability changes to employers.
Does removing a member reclaim every point and course?
No. Distinguish points and exchanged products and apply the actual permissions and written rules.
